Kim has a Juliet Pro 60 embosser in need of a loving new home. This is a great embosser… very durable, can emboss on tractor feed paper, and includes ET Speak voice guidance prompts for easy navigation.
The Juliet is in wonderful cosmetic condition. However, after some discussion with the fantastic tech support folks at Enabling Technologies, we discovered that it’s likely that it has a solenoid that isn’t impacting the paper, causing blocks of text to not emboss correctly. It works beautifully in single-sided mode, but due to this issue, won’t work correctly when printing in interpoint mode. Kim isn’t using the unit enough to justify the cost of repairs, and has just been using it in single-sided mode. She would rather send it off to a nice new home where it will get the use it deserves.
The embosser will come with the power cord and a parallel to USB converter cable (this unit is one of the older models without a USB port, but Kim connected and used it with no problems), and she is happy to throw in some tractor feed paper, as well. While she doesn’t have a disc (she purchased this unit used and it didn’t include one), she will happily point you towards the driver, manuals etc, and if you need Braille translation software, she will send you the links for a demo of Duxbury, as well.
Kim is asking $700 or best offer for the unit, which will include shipping to anywhere in the lower 48 States. She was previously told by the Enabling Technologies staff that the cost of repairs would be between $700-$1300, and that generally the cost is right at or a little under $1000. That means that should you purchase and choose to have this unit repaired, you’ll be getting a fabulous embosser for well under the $4495 you would spend for a new Juliet Pro 60.
Thanks for your interest.
