Chris and Kim remember the Type Lite and share some experiences with early assistive technology.  Chris turns on a Type Lite so you can hear what it sounds like.
They also announce an upcoming Tek Talk presentation as well as give the answer to the contest,¬† the question asked in episode 88.Unfortunately they didn’t have a winner.
Chris and Kim,
I am really looking forward to this podcast, as I was Blazie Engineering’s primary technical support contact for nearly seven years. Although the Type Lite was introduced after I left the company I have fond memories of the other products that were sold. I first heard of the Braille ‘n Speak in 1988 and bought my own in 1989, two years before I found myself working for them. Blazie Engineering revolutionized not only the industry but the lives of those of us who owned their products. Thanks for producing this podcast; I’ll be downloading it tonight.
Hi David,
How fantastic to hear your experiences. That’s a terrific story, and Chris and I hope you enjoyed the podcast. A pleasure hearing from you.
Warmest Wishes,
Kim
