Mystic Accesses Kim Nova and Lisa Salinger are excited to be teaching four free teleclasses over the course of the convention weekends this year! Whether you’re actually attending the NFB or ACB conventions, or playing the home game, we have material to teach which we hope will appeal to your sense of curiosity and adventure. Our two Friday classes have some similarities, as do our two Saturday classes. We hope some or all will be of interest to you. Please read below for additional details.
Friday, July 7 and Friday July 14 — The Power and Fun of Virtual Assistants
On Friday, July 7, we’ll be comparing the Amazon Alexa virtual assistants with Google Home. Which one is better? What do they have in common? What differences are there between them? What’s particularly cool about each? All this and more will be covered and demonstrated.
On the following friday, July 14, Lisa will be sharing several lesser known tips, tricks and goodies with which Google Home can help you. There’s so much she can do, and this class will delve into some of her many fun and useful abilities.
Saturday, July 8 and Saturday July 15 — Life Coaching and Consulting… What are They, How do They Differ and How can They Empower Your Life?
On Saturday, July 8, we’ll provide an overview of consulting and life coaching. Both these important modalities are available for our Mystic Access customers, and in this informative class, we’ll be sharing what each is, their differences and similarities, and how each can enhance and empower your life.
On the following Saturday, July 15, we’ll be putting the previous week’s discussion into practice with two real-life demonstrations of coaching and consulting, both created from a blindness perspective. Witness coaching and consulting in action, and discover how one or both may support you as a person with blindness or low vision.
More About the Classes
These classes are taught over a phone line, and you can join in from wherever you are via phone or Skype. If you’re unable to attend live, the classes will be recorded, and MP3 files will be sent out to you within a few days.
While Kim and Lisa have somewhat different teaching styles, they think they make a great team and really enjoy teaching these classes together. The classes are informal, fun and taught in a friendly and relaxed manner. Each will last around 75 minutes, (an hour and fifteen minutes), and we’ll make sure there’s plenty of time to answer your questions regarding the class material or Mystic Access and our offerings.
The classes are totally free to join. Come with your open mind and your questions, and be ready to learn together and have lots of fun!
